Hotels in Safaga are situated in the northern part of town, but not within its borders, thanks to which the town is unusually authentic, exact opposite to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. The nearest to the town is Lotus Bay and Menaville, which neigbour on each other, thus creating a separate district called “Kilotamania”, where you can find souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes, and the clinic as well. The next in turn are Shams Safaga and Imperial Shams, a little further is the region Soma Bay and hotels: Amwaj, Movenpick, Caribbean, and then Sentido Palm Royale. Moving on, at a distance of 25km there is Makadi Bay, a detached quarter of more expensive hotels, sort of Kempinski or Sheraton. Heading on northward we enter Hurghada, from where sometimes divers readily commute to us for diving too. Transfer from there takes about 50-60 minutes depending on hotel location.
